Listened to Autoline After Hours today with guest Peter Hofbauer, a former diesel-engine designer at Volkswagen, who is developing a revolutionary new opposed-piston engine. The goal is power the first 5-passenger car capable of 100 mpg on the EPA highway cycle.
The bottom line is that if this engine catches on it could completely do away with the need for plug-in electric and fuel cell powered...
